When 08-08-08, i’ve been waiting that moment, to watch the opening ceremony of Beijing 2008 Olympic Games. But, unfortunately.. i can’t watch it from television because the channel’s signal was bad. Luckily, i find the video of the opnening ceremony. The fireworks is so awesome…. I wonder if i can see that directly from Beijing. It must be fun ^^

Britain’s Oxford University has accepted a 17-year-old from Hong Kong on one of its doctorate programmes, making him one of the famed university’s youngest such students, a report said Wednesday.
Horatio Boedihardjo became an Oxford undergraduate at 14 and has now been admitted to the university’s mathematics doctorate programme, the South China Morning Post said.
Oxford PHD students are normally four to five years older when they begin their doctorates, yet despite the feat he faces stiff competition from his potentially even more precocious younger brother.
His sibling, March, last September became Hong Kong’s youngest ever university student at the tender age of just nine, leading the report to dub Horatio Boedihardjo as the “prodigy’s brother.”
“I believe it is just a start for me, to change this good fortune into success in the future,” the elder brother said, according to the report.
He said he would use the opportunity to try and emulate the success of Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg and Microsoft billionaire Bill Gates, the report said.
March won international attention when he started his mathematics course at Hong Kong Baptist University, but said at the time that he was already bored with his “very easy” classes.

Belakangan ini, banyak berita mengenai virus EV 71 (enterovirus 71).
EV 71 ini merupakan virus yang menyerang tangan, kaki, dan mulut. Gejalanya pun menyerupai penyakit HFMD (Hand, Foot, and Mouth Disease). Virus ini mulai mewabah di China. Kemudian, negara lain yang terserang virus ini adalah Vietnam dan Singapura. Bahkan sudah terdengar isu kalau virus ini sudah memasuki wilayah Indonesia.
Gejala – gejala apabila terserang virus ini adalah :
- Demam
- Kulit melepuh
- Terdapat bisul – bisul merah pada kulit
Akibat dari penyakit ini adalah kerusakan otak, jantung, dan paru – paru. Penyakit ini merupakan penyakit menular, dan dapat ditularkan melalui air liur (seperti melalui bersin atau batuk) atau bersentuhan secara langsung dengan si penderita. Pada umumnya yang terkena penyakit ini adalah anak berusia 10 tahun atau kurang dari 10 tahun.
Menurut beberapa sumber, para ahli kesehatan mengatakan bahwa tidak ada vaksin ataupun terapi khusus yang dapat menyembuhkan penyakit ini. Oleh karena itu, untuk mencegah terserang dari virus ini, maka kebersihan adalah yang paling utama. Seperti sering mencuci tangan setelah beraktivitas.
